Where do I use it?
1. Create groups with people you split the most with → flatmates, college gang, besties, colleagues,partner etc. 2. For trips, household expenses, regular sports activities, frequent hangouts, etc. 3. For expenses that you are comfortable to be stacked up and be settled at a later point in time.

What is the benefit of creating a group?
A group allows you to add & split expenses with the same set of people on a regular basis. You can keep a track of the expense list, the total spend of the group, each individual’s share, etc at one place. You can settle the money with this set of people as per your convenience

How do I delete a group?
Tap the group you wish to delete and tap the trash icon on the top right corner. Note: once a group is deleted, all the unsettled balances of the friends involved in the group are removed from your friends’ balances too.

How is a group different from a collection?
A group is created when you wish to split among the same set of individuals on a regular basis. On the other hand, Collection is created to keep related bills for a particular day/event together and can be added inside a group or outside of it.

“Simplify balances” is a feature that restructures debt within a group. It does not change the total amount that anyone owes, but it makes it easier to pay friends back by minimizing the total number of payments. For eg, If Roy owes Rs 100 to Adi and Adi owes Rs 100 to Ali, the app will directly show that Roy owes to Ali. Thereby reducing the number of payments within the group.

You can settle your overall group balances with your friends inside the group itself. 1. Go to the group you want to settle 2. Tap the ‘Balances’ tab 3. Click on ‘Settle up’ against the friend you want to settle the balances with. You can use Splitkaro UPI Payments or record a cash payment for the same.

Yes, you can un-delete a group. Once a group is deleted, you can see this action in the “Activity” section by clicking on the bell icon on the home page. You are given a “Restore” option there, just in case someone deleted the group by mistake.

There are 2 ways in which you can add a new member to an existing group - 1. Click on the ‘+’ icon inside a group & Tap “Add a member”. 2. Add the new person while creating an expense inside a group & we automatically add them to this group.
